Alexander Comley has continued it expansion with an addition to its sales team in Kim Schlobohm.
Kim has previous experience within the O&G sector, is a fluent German speaker and will be a part of developing markets domestically and internationally.

New addition to Company Board at Alexander Comley
Ian Jewkes has been promoted internally to the position of Sales Director.
Having returned to Alexander Comley four years ago as Sales Manager, Ian has many years experience in the petrochemical sector from previous technical, production and sales management roles.

Continuing the trend of inward, company investment, a PWB TOOL MASTER Quadra tool presetter has been added to the Alexander Comley’s capacity.
Having moved into new manufacturing areas with other, earlier, large scale investments, a Doosan Puma VTS1620M vertical machining centre, with which great success has been had. The new PWB TOOL MASTER Quadra tool presetter allows manufacturing excellence to continually be invested upon.

Achilles UVDB approval for Alexander Comley
Alexander Comley adds a further Achilles accreditation to its growing list of awards.
Joining Achilles UVBD means pre-approval to the utility, airport and ports sectors in the UK.
Business Development Manager, Andrew Johnson commented “Attaining UVDB was in direct response to existing client requests. Alexander Comley signs partnership agreement with Hydra Offshore, Ghana
Alexander Comley has signed a partnership agreement with Hydra Offshore, an indigenous oilfield services company, in developing products for Ghana’s oil sector. The agreement is in response to the Petroleum Local Content Regulation, which began operations in February 2014.
Under the agreement Hydra Offshore will partner Alexander Comley in the supply of customised flanges, pipe, tube, fittings, plate, machined / turned parts and associated pipeline supplies. In addition, Hydra Offshore will also lead in the introduction and promotion of Alexander Comley’s products and services in the oil and gas industry within Ghana.
Commenting on the agreement, the Chief Executive Officer of Hydra Offshore, Mr. Delali Otchi said “we are excited about this opportunity to partner one of UK’s biggest brands in customised stainless steel manufacturing with a long history of success.” He further stated that this agreement sets the tone for local indigenous firms to partner with global suppliers to develop the country’s oil and gas sector and Hydra Offshore is committed to growing local talents in support of Ghana’s economic growth.

New investment increases machining capability to 2, 000 mm
Alexander Comley has invested £0.5m in a new Doosan Puma VTS1620M vertical machining centre, with live tooling.
This new machine gives Alexander Comley a leading edge. It is the first Doosan VTS1620M in the UK Midlands, and increases the Company’s capability on CNCs and machining centres from 500 mm (19.7 inches) to 2, 000 mm (78.7 inches). It also increases the Company’s turning capability from 1, 219 mm (48 inches) to 2, 000 mm (78.7 inches).
